Congratulations to the people of Shetland on the solidarity shown in
standing against this inappropriate development.
I am not against wind farms, in fact I am a supporter, but they
should be built as close as possible to the areas of consumption.
The new developments in the bleak moorland areas to the south of
Glasgow for example are appropriate.
The Shetland development was more akin to the Westminster proposals
to build two nuclear power stations in Cumbria - wrong on distance
to market as well as destroying a very attractive location.
