A LERWICK man was fined £350 for possessing £20 worth of heroin when appearing from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court this morning (Monday).

John Francis Christie Smith, of 15 Lovers’ Loan pleaded guilty to the charge. He had been arrested at the town’s police station in early hours of Sunday when officers found the drugs on him.
