Spending Euros in town on a Sunday

I read Sarah McBurnie's letter about using euros with interest. I
live in West Wales and here we have two buses that run between
Fishguard and Crymych. Round here they are called "The Green Dragon"
buses.
They accept fares in pounds or euros and they use a very simple
exchange rate of 1 to 1.
It certainly seems to me that accepting euros is common sense and
good business, so if the bureau de change is closed surely the
solution is obvious.
