WITH five rowing regattas now completed Burra, Vidlin and Nesting are  leading the overall competition with Trondra, Bigton and Lerwick doing well in some of the eight different categories.

At the weekend, yoals were taken to Baltasound where the Unst regatta was held as part of the island’s Unst fest.

Conditions were fine with a choppy sea at the starting line near Balta Isle. The rowing was again competitive with some dramatic finishes.
