What a hike!

29 July, 2008

TAKE care any customers booking flights with Flybe. I've just booked flights for two people to Edinburgh for Christmas and ended up paying £11.96 extra for using my credit card.

That's £2.99 per person per flight (minimum cost £5.50 per booking). Even if you book by debit card - Solo, Maestro or Switch - you'll still end up paying £1.10 per person per flight (minimum £1.99!)

Wow, what a hike!

The payment section of the website also automatically includes insurance too - so be careful to uncheck the boxes if you already have it.

Also don't be tempted to reserve your seats in advance or you'll end up paying extra there too - £12 each way for the two of us.

Looking at the booking it seems that we are allowed one piece of baggage without extra charge - I think! We will no doubt find out when we get to the airport!

Having said that the cost was still under £200 for two persons (using their Air Discount) to Edinburgh return - which didn't seem too bad.
