Six clicks too far

1 July, 2008

While no doubt what you say is true (‘Online applications are best’; SN 30/6/08), six clicks to get where you want to be to find "tailored information" for one question still seems extraordinarily complicated.

Also, to use the SAC or other external firms to help fill in forms will cost the crofter money. They don't do applications for free.

Why does it have to be such a "highly complex process which can only be done effectively online"?

Until now, we have always managed to fill in the forms ourselves (IACS, ESA, RSS etc) but this is just a step too far.
